N a n c y Clutter's Grave

Why do you look at me that way? Do you have a lefty fetish? Because I do. Mock me as you may. I don’t mind. In fact, I like it. I like being humiliated!! My purpose is to shock you. Though, I am sorry for whatever lewd gestures I may have made. . . . Please know that I never meant to hurt you, or make you feel uncomfortable. In my estimate, nothing is more ravishing than the female shape. But I’m full of paradoxes. I hold views which, according to some, are degrading to women. She displays herself with "an air of modesty." Not that there's anything wrong with sensuality. I’m no Christian. It's just what I find attractive. And I'm inclined to believe my tastes and my interests are more refined and more desirable than those of others. Not one of those people who say, "Oh, I think stuff like that is all subjective, you know?" "It's just subjective," they say. And leave it at that. I want to be loved unconditionally. Is it too much to ask!! Besides, I get the impression you are afraid. How do you think it makes me feel? Curl up fetal frightful or just breakdown and cry!! No solace here! Why must you torture me thus! !! !

Archaeologists have not yet discovered any stage of human existence without art. Even in the half-light before the dawn of humanity we received this gift from Hands we did not manage to discern. Nor have we managed to ask: Why was this gift given to us and what are we to do with it?
And all those prophets who are predicting that art is disintegrating, that it has used up all its forms, that it is dying, are mistaken. We are the ones who shall die. And art will remain. The question is whether before we perish we shall understand all its aspects and all its ends.

Synchronicity is a word made from two Greek terms meaning “joined with” and “time.” Synchronicity is a bond or connection that happens in a timely way. A correspondence between two things is suddenly made clear. The unifying connection was always present but an immediate and meaningful coincidence makes it visible here and now.
